How Do You Say ‘Delicious’ In Croatian?

Yesterday, a friend asked me: how do you say a meal is delicious in Croatian?

My response: I usually say it’s super.

Hey, what language hasn’t adopted a word from another language?

We then uncovered several words describing something delicious: ukusno, izvršno, odlično, vrhunsko.

For some reason, I felt the words didn’t measure up.

So, I decided to ask our waiter for advice.

I asked him what he said to his mother when he enjoyed her cooking/meal.

He responded with: I eat all of it.

And there you have it.

Sometimes, what we do carries more weight than what we say.
